Welcome to the pretty saxon church of St Mary at Fishley, Norfolk, Our Church is set amidst rolling farmland just north of the village of Acle, and is known by many people as a little gem hidden in the Norfolk countryside, overlooking the Acle marshes, with glorious views across the river Bure and beyond. Althought close to Acle only a small road leads to this lovely little church. We are an Open Church on Friday and Sunday, you are most welcome.

St. Margaret's is usually open daily from around 9.30am-5pm (dusk in winter).
This majestic church was built between 1380 and 1450 in the perpendicular style of architecture. The church stands on an earlier Norman church founded by Ranulph de Glanville in 1171, a year after Thomas Beckett’s murder. The ancient font, one of the most beautiful in Norfolk, dates from the late 14th century.
